The Single Trip is perfect for quick, one-way trips from point A to point B. No commitment necessary.

The Single Trip costs $1 to unlock and $0.05/min on a classic bike or $0.15/min on an ebike.

With a pedal-assist motor to supercharge your ride, our ebikes are the easiest way to get around the metro DC area. Pricing starts at __$1 to unlock__ plus __$0.15/minute__.

Ebike parking is free at Capital Bikeshare stations. You’ll be charged $2 for parking an ebike at a public bike rack in the service area. A $25 fee will be applied to any ebike that is not docked at a station or secured to a public bike rack with its cable lock, if it remains inactive for over 30 minutes after the ride concludes. This fee is in addition to the standard per-minute rate.

Single Trips can be purchased in the [Lyft app](/how-it-works/get-the-app), [Capital Bikeshare app](/how-it-works/get-the-app) or at any station [kiosk](https://secure.capitalbikeshare.com/map/). Please note ebike rides can only be purchased via the Capital Bikeshare app or Lyft app.
