It’s designed for quick trips with convenience in mind. Use it to commute to work or school, run errands, get to appointments or just enjoy our beautiful area.

When you become a Capital Bikeshare member, you get a bike key that unlocks access to thousands of bikes in Washington, DC; Arlington, VA; Alexandria, VA; Montgomery County, MD; Prince George's County, MD; Fairfax County, VA; and the City of Falls Church, VA.
You can take as many rides as you want throughout the year, and all classic bike trips under 45 minutes are included in your membership. Ride longer than 45 minutes and pay $0.05/minute. Annual members enjoy no unlock fees and a discounted rate of $0.10/min on ebikes.

Ebike parking is free at Capital Bikeshare stations. You’ll be charged $2 for parking an ebike at a public bike rack in the service area. Ebike rides that are not properly ended and remain inactive for over 30 minutes will incur a $25 fee, in addition to the per minute rate.
If you upgrade to an ebike or incur any extra time fees, your card on file will be charged. The fee for a lost or stolen bike is $1,200.
